Invocations will be delivered by a Hindu spiritual leader, a rabbi, and ministers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Hindu leader Rajan Zed from Nevada, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, will also deliver prayers at the Board of County Commissioners of Oklahoma County, Board of County Commissioners of Grady County and Enid City Council. Zed has also visited legislative chambers in more than a dozen states and says his purpose in delivering legislative prayers is to create awareness about the harmonious coexistence of diverse religions.

From its beginnings, the Church of Scientology has recognized that freedom of religion is a fundamental human right. In a world where conflicts are often traceable to intolerance of others’ religious beliefs and practices, the Church has, for more than 50 years, made the preservation of religious liberty an overriding concern.

The Church publishes this blog to help create a better understanding of the freedom of religion and belief and provide news on religious freedom and issues affecting this freedom around the world.
